Do investment casting manufacturers in India need IBR and does it matter for my order?
IBR isn't a quality marker and is not applicable for businesses outside India. However, OEMs for valves in India ask for the same to comply with Indian boiler compliance requirements and directives.
Is there a size or weight limit for investment cast components?
Yes, absolutely but the challenge isn't the weight or the dimension (since advanced foundries can now easily cast more than 200 kg), it's the furnace. A foundry's induction furnace is what determines the upper limit on weight and size and this varies significantly from one investment casting manufacturer to another.
