At Vimax, we leverage hands-on knowledge and best practices to create castings that match performance expectations. It helps us stand out amongst leading lost wax casting parts manufacturers in India. Here's how we do it:
| Process Stage | Key Features |
|---|---|
| Tooling & Wax pattern | Accurate dies and automation-led wax patterns to establish accuracy right at the very beginning. |
| Investing & Heating | Dipping and coating wax patterns to create precise ceramic casts and heating them to improve hardness and durability. |
| Pouring & Fettling | Gently filling the ceramic casts with molten alloy. Knocking and then grinding post-solidification and cooling. |
| Heating & Machining | Heat treating the components, followed by CNC machining to improve surface roughness and drill accurate holes. |
| Final Inspection | Dimensional, geometric, and chemical checks to ensure compliance with delivery requirements and standards. |
Reasons why OEMs and Tier-1 manufacturers trust Vimax Technocast for their lost wax casting requirements.
We help streamline design, shelve excess weight, and reduce per-part cost without loss in precision, performance, or compliance.
We take a design from concept to creation, helping our clients reduce the number of partners required for a successful project.
Plan-Do-Check-Act system that enforces quality control before production begins. We use heat numbers to enable traceability and source raw materials from suppliers who provide mill test certificates.
We use best-in-class rainfall sanders, multiple slurry mixers, fluidized stucco beds, HVAC systems, induction and gas-fired furnaces, and thermocouples to deliver superior lost-wax casting parts.
We use the latest designing and simulation software, and use Zeiss, FANUC, and Mitsubishi machines to ensure accurate operations. This helps reduce rework, improve dimensional accuracy, and lower the total cost of ownership.
Every part manufactured undergoes spectrometric, ultrasonic, PMI, magnetic particle, corrosion, hardness, impact, surface roughness, and dye penetrant testing. Thorough reports establish transparency and support alignment with compliance requirements.
We export to 12-plus countries such as the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, South Africa, and are aware of secure packaging, appropriate labelling, and country-specific requirements.
We meet up to 60% of our energy needs with our 1.5 MW solar power facility. It helps us meet our ESG goals, cut down on carbon emissions, and helps our clients reduce their Scope 3 emissions.
A mid-sized valve OEM in the US approached us for valve castings. We delivered 1250 components tailored to their fluid and piping system and met their corrosion-resistance requirements.
A tier-1 Germany-based automotive supplier wanted suspension and brake system components. We were able to lower parts weight, save on material costs by 25%, and still meet their internal tolerance requirements.
Whether you are sourcing a new component or evaluating an existing design, a technical consultation is the best place to start. Our engineers can help you determine the right material, design approach, and production strategy.

India's share in affordable and precision lost wax casting is increasing globally. A rise in the total number of foundries makes it all the more difficult to narrow down the right set of prospects. We believe the following pointers can help.
How is lost wax casting different from investment casting?
Lost wax casting is the same as investment casting. Both terms describe a different stage in the production process. Artisanal foundries often use the term lost wax (from the wax pattern that melts when casts are heated) while large foundries prefer using the term investment casting (because wax patterns are invested, i.e., dipped in ceramic slurry).
Is lost wax casting better than sand casting?
As a process, lost wax casting is not inherently better than sand casting. Both have their uses. Lost wax casting is preferred when components are small to medium in size, have complex geometry, and require excellent tolerances at scale. Sand casting is better suited to larger and heavier components.
Which is the best material for lost wax casting?
The best material for lost wax casting is the one that's best suited to your project. While grades of stainless steel are commonly used, no 'one' material meets every use case.
Is lost wax casting inherently expensive?
Because lost wax casting includes die development, most mistake it for being an overall costly process. While die building is expensive, the total cost of ownership over bulk volumes is lower compared to subtractive manufacturing.
Are samples available for lost wax casting parts before placing bulk orders?
We do not ship samples before taking bulk orders for lost wax castings. However, we provide a tour of the foundry on request, where prospective clients get hands-on experience with our components and get to determine suitability.
Share your drawings, material specifications, and compliance requirements. We'll evaluate your application and provide a detailed quotation along with manufacturing recommendations.
